Synopsis

Museum draws us into the visit of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum exactly as visitors experience it on site. From Auschwitz to Birkenau, we listen to the guides describing us in great detail the atrocities and crimes that have been carried out here. We go through the piles of shoes, the torture block, the disembarkation ramp, the gas chamber. And as we go deeper into the horror of this place, the anonymous visitors around us - of all ages, gender, culture, religion and nationality - strike up the conversation. Some express their difficulties in understanding this place, in imagining the inconceivable tragedy that has occurred here or in apprehending the immensity of the death that faces them. Other visitors, on the other hand, prefer to immerse themselves into trivial and commonplace discussions that resonate strangely within these walls. Of all these visit fellows, we will know nothing more. And yet, we feel like we know them. Maybe because there is a part of them in each of us...
